The Florida Suncoast Soccer League (FSSL) was established in 1973 and is the largest amateur league in the Florida State Soccer Association. The FSSL has a men’s division and an Over 40 men’s division. There are approximately 50 teams in the various divisions.
Men’s division – Division Premier, 1, 2 and 3 There are four levels of competitive play. The divisions are Premier, Division I, Division II and Division III. Players must be at least 18 years of age to participate. Youth players at least 16 years of age may play, but only with the permission of Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA). |

The games are held on Sundays. The men’s regular season runs from early-September through February, with each team playing a home and away game against each team in their division.
Scheduling of games depends on the division in which the team plays, field availability and referee availability. Following the regular season there are division cups and a league cup. The FSSL also has a number of teams that participate in the Florida State Cup each spring and in the USASA National and Open Cups. New players may join teams during the regular season and throughout cup play.
Over-40 Men’s division
The over-40 men’s division has 11 teams that play on Wednesday evenings. (every other week). The season runs from October through April. There are a lot of ex-professionals playing in this division. That makes this league as competitive as any other men’s league in FSSL.
